ALAIN LABAT
President and CEO
Mr. Labat has over 20 years of EDA industry experience. Prior to joining VaST Labat was CEO of Tera Systems and founder, president and CEO of Sequence Design. He was previously with Synopsys Inc. as senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. Labat graduated from INSEEC, France, and has an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management. MICHAEL PACZAN
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Paczan joins VaST from IBM where he was CTO for the Power.org initiative and Chairman of the Power.org Technical Committee. Prior to this, he was the Director of the STI (Sony/Toshiba/IBM) Design Center with overall responsibility for managing the development of the "Cell" microprocessor targeted for Sony's PS3. His experience spans microprocessor and system architecture and design, program management, and business development for computer systems for commercial and defense related applications. Michael graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and the University of Texas at Austin with an MBA. He is also a graduate of the Naval Nuclear Power School where he did graduate study in nuclear engineering and naval reactor plant operations and holds a Master's Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.
JEFF ROANE
Vice President of Marketing
Mr. Roane has over 20 years of management experience in the Semiconductor and Electronic Design Automation industries. He joined VaST from ProphICy Semiconductor which he co-founded. Prior to ProphICy, Mr. Roane served as Vice President of Marketing for Cadence Design System's Synthesis Place and Route group. Prior to Cadence, Mr. Roane held management positions at Ambit Design Systems, and Synopsys and began his career as an IC designer at Texas Instruments. Mr. Roane holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Akron.
KYLE PARK
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Park has over 13 years of EDA industry experience including CFO roles at Tera Systems, ReShape, Jasper Design Automation and etNetworks. He also has held executive management positions at Niku, Synplicity and Synopsys. Mr. Park holds an MBA from Santa Clara University. Read more > >
JASON NIATAS
Vice President of North American Sales
Mr. Niatas has over 20 years of experience in the Semiconductor and Electronics Design Automation Industry. Mr. Niatas joined VaST from Borland Software and prior to Borland held sales and sales management positions at Cadence/Verisity as well as at 0-IN Design Automation and Synopsys. Nr. Niatas began his career as a Design Engineer at ITT Defense Communications and as a Field Design Engineer at LSI. Mr. Niatas holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University.
ISAO YUMOTO
General Manager– VaST Japan K.K
Mr. Isao Yumoto has over 30 years experience in engineering, marketing and sales of embedded systems, electronic systems and automotive electronics. He served 25 years in sales and marketing positions with IBM Japan focused primarily on the automotive and electronic systems market segments. Following IBM he established successful Japanese sales offices for US and Canadian software ventures in embedded and wireless technology areas including ISI, Pixo and Zucott Wireless. Immediately prior to joining VaST he was President of ENCIRQ KK, an embedded data base company. Mr. Yumoto holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Tokyo Metropolitan University.
JEAN-MARC TALBOT
General Manager – VaST Europe
Dr. Talbot was a founder of Esterel Technologies, where he was COO and spent two years as CEO of its US subsidiary in Silicon Valley. He previously was vice president of sales and marketing at SIMULOG. He also served as head of the scientific computing department at Schneider Electric in Grenoble, France. Talbot holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Paris and a MBA from the University of Grenoble.
COLIN LYTHALL
Vice President of Engineering– VaST Systems Technology Pty.
Colin Lythall brings more then 20 years of experience to his role as Vice President of Engineering. Immediately prior to joining VaST, he served at IntelliWhere as the Product Development Manager for highly scalable incident management systems. Colin's experience includes co-founding QSI Payments, where he served as SVP and CTO. He is also a founder of WebVentures and Qtec Semiconductor, a developer of embedded micro-controllers and component library products. Lythall holds a BE from Queensland University of Technology, a Dip CSc from the University of Queensland and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
